Come diventare ricchi e famosi da un momento all'altro
The story of a mother determined to make her seven-year-old daughter a success. A tragicomic tale exploring the relationship between happiness and personal fulfillment in the post-truth era.
A mother is determined, at any cost, to help her seven-year-old daughter become a successful artist. From this premise, playwright and director Emanuele Aldrovandi builds an exploration of the connection between happiness and personal achievement. With a writing style that is both highly concrete and in dialogue with a dreamlike, surreal staging, the artist focuses on the most intimate and personal consequences of social dynamics that push us ever further toward seeking immediate approval and recognition.
Reflecting on what constitutes artistic quality in the post-truth era, the play invites us to ask, together with the characters, how far we are willing to go to protect our loved ones from potential failures and frustrations that sometimes feel insurmountable. A performance that is at once funny and poignant, it challenges the capitalist rhetoric of “superhuman models” as symbols of ultimate well-being and joy.
