Scusate se non siamo morti in mare

A dystopian future: Europe, brought to its knees by economic and environmental crises, has become a continent of emigrants. Former European citizens, in search of a better future, must undertake clandestine journeys to reach richer countries. A sharp comedy that, with humor and audacity, turns our perception of immigration upside down.

The setting is a not-too-distant dystopian future: Europe, crippled by economic and environmental crises, has become a continent of emigrants. Former European citizens, seeking a better life, must embark on clandestine journeys to richer countries, offering a dramatic and timely reversal of current migration routes.

On a port quay, two men and a woman prepare to secretly board a container, after arranging a deal with a sailor/smuggler. They have different goals, different dreams, but share the same fate—suspended between hope, deception, and illusion.

With his sharp, poetic, and paradoxical writing, Aldrovandi tackles a burning contemporary issue, imagining a world where global hierarchies are inverted.
