Estinzione della razza umana
Using a sharp tragicomic language and fast-paced dialogue, The Extinction of the Human Race is an elegant and ruthless theatrical work that confronts the anxieties of the present with irony and surreal grotesque elements.
In a world dominated by frantic and dehumanizing rhythms that leave no space for thought or introspection, the outbreak of a virus that turns people into turkeys suddenly disrupts everyday life. Two couples—ordinary individuals, each embodying a different philosophical outlook—find themselves trapped in the entrance hall of an apartment building, overwhelmed by doubts, fears and frustrations.
The performance follows five human beings at a crucial moment of transition into adulthood, mercilessly digging into their inner contradictions. As everything seems to collapse beneath their feet, the play exposes the fragile structures they cling to, transforming recent collective experience into a sharp, unsettling and darkly comic reflection on identity, responsibility and the collapse of shared values.
