Dissimmetrie
Audiovisual work, animation, and electronic music on media

Video: Elena Bianchini, Giulia Pellegrini, Mika Sollecito, Serena Ugolini;

Music: Lorenza Ceregini, Riccardo Tesorini.

A fragmented and disjointed work in which a multiplicity of authorial visions and different stylistic choices converge. The video part is inspired by a surrealist technique called “exquisite corpse”; the authors worked cyclically and separately on sequences, using short video fragments preceding their own as a starting point. The music, structured prior to the images and free from any constraints, interacts with the visuals through similarities or differences, creating a synesthetic intertwining. The final effect is to catapult the viewer into a state of perceptual estrangement.
