Abaddon
In many ancient traditions, Abaddon embodies the end: a threshold, a transformation, an abyss. This short film takes shape from that symbol, not as a catastrophic prophecy, but as a reflection on human fragility and its fractured bond with life.
Created during the residency “Suoni e Visioni”, promoted by AAMOD – Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico, Abaddon is born from dialogue with archival footage. Images stripped from their original context become fragments of a discourse on violence, subtle, systemic, and repeated.
The soundtrack is conceived as a living body of sound: evoking rather than explaining, amplifying what the images leave unspoken.
Abaddon is a threshold. An attempt to look at what usually remains outside the frame.
